The Sport for Social Change International Week aims to outreach successful cases, methodologies and proposes on how to use sports to strengthening youth , develop communities and promote social change. It aims to foster the dialogue and debate on public policies that stimulate and facilitate the establishment of programs and actions that use sport as a tool to change. The event has as main objective to point some directions and offer space to debate on how much the sports have been proven efficient as a way for development in different countries. The Sport for Social Change International Week is an initiave of REMS – Rede Esporte pela Mudança Social, the Brazilian chapter of the SSCN – Sport for Social Change Network, a global initiative launched by Nike, in partnership with UNDP – United Nations Development Program. In its first edition, the week is developed with the collaboration of J.Leiva (Sport and Government Conference); Unilever (Networks and Sustainability Conference) and SESC-SP.
